Welcome to MAURER EDITIONS, the home of “Icons of the 20th Century,” a monumental series of original paintings by Sidney Randolph Maurer.

"MUSIC ICONS OF THE 20th CENTURY" is the first in a progression of exhibitions of this monumental collection. Maurer is the only artist in the 5000 year history of art who has painted over 200 Icons of the most important people (Icons) of his own time.

Music Icons of the 20 th Century” is one segment of the much larger Maurer collection “Icons of the 20 th Century.” So far Maurer has painted over 200 portraits of those world figures who have contributed to making our lives better in every respect. Among those figures are Albert Einstein, Mohandas Gandhi, Mother Teresa, Rosa Parks, Charlie Chaplin, Leonard Bernstein, Lucille Ball, and dozens more. Click here to see all the Icons.

Maurer’s “Icons” will be unveiled at various shows at important galleries and venues including Galerie Rienzo in New York in the spring of 2011.
